CDL wishes everyone a safe and happy Veterans Day. While we aren't able to gather in person to celebrate our nation's heroes, we want to take the time to thank them for their service to our country and sacrifices for our freedom. Beginning November 11, we encourage you to watch this year's Veterans Day video celebration, which includes CDL's Vietnam War Veterans documentary, honoring Chelsea Veterans. You can also find documentaries featuring Chelsea Veterans from the Korean War, WWII, and WWI below.

Stories of Chelsea is a dedicated space to learn and share local history. It includes the Around Town with Linda public television series,  historic newspapers and photographs, genealogy information, and special history projects. Highlighted below are the projects honoring local veterans in the Korean War, WWI, and WWII.

Korean War

In the Korean War project, we have collected many different perspectives of the conflict, told by those who were there and told in their own way. We thank the American Legion Post #31 and the Chelsea VFW Post #4076 for their involvement in planning this documentary and working to make it reality.

WWI era photographs, letters, stories, and artifacts were curated to expand the historical record archived on the Stories of Chelsea website. World War II

WWII Veterans Project aims to record and preserve the stories and experiences of the Chelsea area and its citizens. In the WWII Veterans Project, we have collected many different perspectives of the war, told by those who were there and told in their own way.
